We've Got a Climber!

Miss Pris is really into climbing on and into things right now. She loves climbing into chairs and also thinks she is such a big girl when she sits on her Dora couch. In the last few days, she has crawled into the dryer when I was folding laundry, onto the dishwasher when I was unloading it and up the stairs every time we accidentally leave the gate open. Of course, she is extremely proud of herself and her new accomplishments.

One Year Portraits

Emma Cate had her one-year portraits last week. She was pretty fussy, but we got some good ones. A friend from my mom's group takes the pics, and she is always so patient. To see all of the poses, take a look at her website: Brannick Photography

Karate Kid

Luke has started taking karate. He's only been twice, but he seems to really enjoy it. Every week, he has to bring a chart to class that shows he's been obeying the rules at home. If he has a completed chart, he gets rewarded with a clip for his belt. When we went today, he got his uniform before class (first pic). After class, the instructor rewarded him with his white belt. He was so proud of himself!

First Baseball Game

We took the kids to their first Texas Rangers baseball game last weekend. We only got to sit and watch two innings before they were bored, so we let Luke play some games in the kid's area. He had so much fun and was so dang cute!

Oh yeah, we did tell Luke about Elbow's untimely death. We all said a few kind words, and Luke flushed him down the toilet. We went to buy a new fish that is harder to kill. :) Luke loves him, and he named him Chewy Sandwich.

Off to School

Luke started 3-year-old preschool today. He's going to the same school as last year, and he was so excited to go back. His teachers this year are Ms. Angie and Ms. Shelby. He looked like such a big boy marching into the classroom this morning. He knows the routine, and he really seems to enjoy going there.

On another note, Elbow #1 is floating in the fish tank. Luke hasn't noticed, and I think I'll try to sneak another one in there so I don't have to deal with all of the questions. Is that bad? LOL

The Dinosaur Bed

For the past few weeks, we've been talking to Luke about putting a bed upstairs in his room. He agreed, so we set up a bed, bought a new (huge) mattress and new dinosaur bedding. Last night, he slept in it all night long! We've all been sleeping upstairs, since I'm too scared to put him up there alone. :) Luke's also really been wanting a fish tank, so that was his reward for sleeping all night alone in his new bed. He named his new fish "Elbow." I have no idea where that name came from, but Dale has been calling him "Elbow #1!" I guess he thinks we'll have to replace him a lot! Notice Luke's super short haircut in the last picture. He got scalped! LOL
