Knock Knock

Luke really likes jokes, so we've been teaching him some simple "knock knock" jokes. He gets them mixed up sometimes, but it's really cute.

Springtime

We have really been enjoying the Springtime evenings. Everyday when Dale gets home, Luke is ready to ride his "brand new four wheeler." He goes around the yard in the same path over and over. Today, Emma Cate sat in her Bumbo seat and devoured a biter biscuit. She was a big mess, but she sure did enjoy it! Take a look at our crazy kids:

Bathtime Fun

Emma Cate is finally big enough to take a bath with Luke. She LOVES it! I have to keep my hand on her, because she will lunge for a toy and put her face in the water. She loves to splash water, too. Luke really likes it when she takes a bath with him. He's so sweet. :) The only problem we have is getting Emma out. She lets us know that she isn't happy by screaming for about five minutes.

Magic Time Machine

We went to eat at the Magic Time Machine last night with our cousins Austin, Ashlyn and Anna. It's a neat restaurant where the servers all dress up like differrent characters. We saw Cinderella, Captain Jack Sparrow, Woody from Toy Story and our server was The Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland. Luke was scared at first, but he warmed up after he got his bubbly red drink. We all had a good time, because we love spending time with Greg, Jennifer, Aunt Toor and the kiddos.

A Boy and His Dog

Most of you know our dog Kaida. She's a 90-pound Akita, and, believe it or not, she's six weeks younger than Luke. Akitas are known as "Japanese babysitters" because they are really protective of kids. It's kind of weird that Luke really hasn't ever shown a lot of interest in her. However, recently, he's been so sweet to her. Sometimes Kaida just looks at me like, "Do I have to sit here and let him hug me?" I think she's getting used to it, though. It's pretty cute!

Ya Ya, Na Na, Da Da

Miss Priss is jabbering so much. She says ya ya, na na, da da, but no ma ma yet. So, once again, Dale gets the first words. Of course, I don't think she actually knows what she is saying yet. :) She is spending more time on her belly and starting to attempt some sort of crawling motion. I'm so excited to see her crawl, but I am also not ready to chase her around. That reminds me, I need to get a gate for the bottom of the stairs. UGH!

3-year check-up

It's hard to believe that Luke is three already. We went to his check-up today, and he was so brave. They had to poke his finger to collect blood for an anemia test, and he didn't even cry. He just watched their every move and wanted to see the "bleed." He did cry for a minute when he got a shot in the leg, but not bad at all. Now, he has two band-aids he is really proud of. He won't let me take them off! BTW, he weighs 31 pounds and is 37.5 inches tall.

Emma Cate's Earrings

Well, I finally got brave enough to do it. When we were in Arkansas for Easter, Mom and Aunt Johnette went with me to get Emma Cate's ears pierced. I was a little freaked out, but she hardly even cried. I'm so happy we did it, she looks adorable!!

ARRRRR - A Pirtate Party

Luke's third birthday party was a big success! We had lots of friends and family here to play and eat pizza with us. As soon as Luke saw the cake, he began sneaking bites of icing off of the side! I think that cake may be his favorite food.
